Back to School Series : Do's and Don'ts

So we all know that school is approaching rapidly and we want to look our best on the first day . Am I right or am I right ? And I know that some f you just want a fresh new start . But you can't achieve those goals if you don't feel confident . So that's exactly what inspired me to start this back to school blog series and it's to prepare a few of you and just to give you guys a few ideas if you are stuck . The first " Blogisode "is about make-up . First , I'll post a few pictures and links of the Do's then follow up with a few pictures of the things that you DO NOT want to do … So let's get started :)

1. Start with a Fresh clean face : Leaving grease and sweat on your face can give a fresh cover of makeup a shiny , caked on look after several hours. Use a face " detergent " or wash to gently wash away the bacteria. Spending about one minute of scrubbing to remove all bacteria and dead skin cells in your pores. Finish up by applying a facial moisturizer . Dry skin will look flaky and your skin will eventually gail oil to compensate later on , so be sure that your skin has been treated with a bit of lotion.

Now for the look : We will be recreating a fresh makeup look that you can achieve everyday and guess what … The boys will definitely be running to your yard . On the picture below I will photoshop and label what the model used on her face to create the stunning fresh face look .

Now I will move on the the MakeUp don'ts …. I believe the pictures will speak for themselves.

Fourth Of July!

Fourth Of July …..

Normally people think fourth of July is just a time to spend with family, bbq , and watch fireworks. But people forget what the actual holiday genuinely means." Independence Day , also commonly known as the Fourth of July, is a federal holiday in the United States of America commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain ...-Google. " And it's sad that most don't the true meaning of the holiday (I asked some people, that's how I know)! Being that violence is pretty high and it's hard to just hang out and have fun (unsupervised) without parents being worried. But this year instead of begging and pleading my parents to go out , I stayed home and enjoyed the time we had together . That included eating :P , Swimming in the pool, talking amongst one another & watching fireworks .. And let's just say that I enjoyed myself .

Concrete Jungle

Have you ever wanted to hop up and get out of Memphis for awhile ? Yeah, me too!!
My friend Carrington invited me on a four day trip to New York City and it was amazeBALLS !! We flew out of Memphis to New York on Thursday ( 6.26.14 ). After flying for two hours we hopped on a bus and headed to the hotel ( The Elements ). After checking in , we ran to our room and changed clothes so we could go shopping! We shopped, walked, toured, rode subways, ate, laughed, posed, people watched, hailed cabs and soooo much more!! It is safe to say that I. LOVE. NEW. YORK!! So much so that I may apply to some colleges there (eeeek)!!!!
But let me get back on track ! SO after changing clothes we walked around trying to find a place to eat .. We wanted Chinese , Burgers , Seafood and Etc.. But we stopped at The HardRock Cafe. The restaurant had NO SIGNAL ( So you know I was dying ) . Our food was just OK, ugh… Ya know ? Lol but after that, we walked the streets of New York.
